The Funny Things We Say...
In high school I made the pronouncement that men should not stay home with the kids. I thought in very traditional terms. Man, work. Woman, stay home. It was pretty much that simple to me then. I remember the looks on the faces of the girls as I shared my beliefs at the end of English class. I wish they could see me now. Well, that was twenty years ago and its funny how things change. Now I’m home with the kids and my thinking is much less black and white. I still think men should work, they can just do it at home with the kiddos.

I think there should be a rule that the things we say in our junior and senior high years should be completely inadmissable in any court or future conversation. I shudder at the memory of some of the crap that came out of my mouth during those years.

hah, I pretend all the dumbass things I said in highschool were things my twin said. He's such a convenient excuse.

...John, that was nothing.
Remember when you said "this whole personal computer thing is a fad" and "I don't care what anyone thinks. Flock of Seagulls is the best band EVER".
Good times...good times...

Hmmm...Flock of Seagulls may not have been the BEST band ever but they surely were a great one! I still have their first recording and listen to it almost every day at work.

Okay...along the funny things we say line....
A handsome young man and his cute little sister (read Carson and Maddie)were staying at my house. It was breakfast and the cute little girl pointed to the dozen eggs sitting on the counter and asked, "What are those?" To which her very wise older brother answered, "Those are chicks that didn't make it." Breakfast anyone?
I have been meaning to tell you that since we last saw you. I love your family!
